Berlin, 6 November 2012 - Adobe has developed a new version of their PDF creation and viewing software: Acrobat XI. Acrobat XI now offers extended support for the latest PDF ISO standards. It allows to easily create PDF files compliant to the ISO 32000 standard for PDF/A and PDF/E archiving. Acrobat XI also allows converting and validating PDF/X files for print production or PDF/VT files for Variable Data Printing. This advanced functionality is made possible thanks to the preflight technology developed by callas software. This Berlin based company is one of the major contributors of the PDF technology included in the Acrobat XI software.
(Berlin – 16 December 2011) callas software, leader in PDF technology for publishing, print production and document archiving, is delighted to announce the release of pdfaPilot version 3. The new release brings full support for the new PDF/A-3 standard announced for 2012, making it possible to archive the original document (such as Word, Excel, XML…) into the PDF/A file.
Well, what is dynamic preflighting to begin with? You know what preflight is of course: checking different properties of a file to make sure it will be suitable for your purposes. Modern preflight applications allow you to create a preflight profile; such a profile contains a set of preflight checks and fixes. Each check defines a potential problem you want to check for; each fix defines how you want to correct potential problems.
