PrintFactory v4 offers unprecedented ease-of-use with Roland VersaUV LEC-300 series

Unique white, varnish and die-cut handling enables productive and cost-effective specialty proofing, prototyping and production

Four Pees, worldwide distributor of PrintFactory, announces unique support for wide format Roland VersaUV LEC-300 series devices in new PrintFactory v4.  PrintFactory is the comprehensive solution covering all aspects of large format production, from file preparation to output and finishing. PrintFactory v4’s file preparation tools maximize the Roland VersaUV series’ capabilities.

The Roland VersaUV family for versatile proofing, prototyping and short-run production

The VersaUV family prints CMYK, white and varnish layers. This combination can be used for creating special effects. The varnish layer, for instance, assures a luxurious finish for prints. It also allows users to print reliefs, such as imitation crocodile skin, embossing or braille. The LEC-330 was developed for short run production, while the LEC-300 is perfectly suited for prototyping and sample making.

PrintFactory Editor: A file preparation powerhouse

The PrintFactory Production Editor offers the most advanced file preparation tool on the market. It provides full control for generating any type of tiling, defining white space in overlaps, bleeds per panel, panel numbering, and allows template creation for fully automated tiling on jobs with the same tiling scheme. Specifically powerful in combination with the VersaUV family, PrintFactory Production Editor gives operators the freedom to define where to print white ink or varnish on any object or on a whole job. In addition, it gives full control in a print and contour cut workflow.

VersaUV family & PrintFactory for increased accuracy and productivity

In contrast with regular production RIPs, the PrintFactory production suite sends one fully prepared file, embedding all white, varnish (gloss or matte), embossing and die-cut handling data, to the Roland printers. This vastly increases the productivity and accuracy of the printers.
