ProofMaster 4.1 adds support for Epson Stylus Pro 4900
Ghent, 18 November 2010 - Four Pees, exclusive world-wide distributor of ProofMaster: solutions for color-accurate contract proofing, announces the immediate availability of ProofMaster Plus and ProofMaster Certify 4.1. This new version introduces support for the Epson Stylus Pro 4900.

As one of the first color-proofing rips on the market ProofMaster Plus and ProofMaster Certify fully support the Epson Stylus Pro 4900 with SpectroProofer.
Specifically the combination of ProofMaster Certify and Epson Stylus Pro 4900 make a very cost effective Contract Proofing match for designers or Photographers needing to get an accurate view of what their creation will look like in Print.
ProofMaster Certify in combination with the Epson Stylus Pro 4900 is so easy to set up that anyone can be producing industry-standard certified proofs within minutes. It comes with all the necessary color profiles to create ISO 12647-7 compliant proofs straight out of the box on specific sets of quality, Fogra certified ProofMaster Media.
Better and faster color results
ProofMaster Plus 4.1 also features a completely revamped Calibration and Profiling Wizard for more accurate, more productive and more economic printer profiling.
- Calibration wizard
The calibration wizard has been redesigned in order to facilitate the calibration process. It has a cleaner interface to improve legibility and to better guide the user through the steps needed.
- Ink bleeding target
A new ink bleeding target has been developed, which makes ink cut off choices faster and more accurate
- Ink mixing
To facilitate the choice in ink mixing, there is now a fixed set of ink mixing presets:
“Economy”: uses a minimum amount of ink but can compromise print quality
“Quality”: maximizes the print qjuality, no restriction on ink amount
“Quality ECO”: optimizes the ink usage while maintaining the quality, providing best of both worlds
- IDEAlliance control strip
For the North American market the IDEAlliance control wedge has been added, replacing the older Gracol wedge.
Pricing, availability and new printers
ProofMaster Plus and ProofMaster Certify 4.1 are available immediately.
ProofMaster Certify costs €990 regardless of the size of printer you want to drive. A list of compatible printers is available through www.proofmaster.net/printerlist.
ProofMaster Plus starts at €1450. This includes two printer drivers. ProofMaster Plus can be extended with options for advanced color control, 1-bit tiff proofing, etc.
The upgrade to v4.1 is free to existing 4.0 users. Upgrade pricing from earlier versions is available through the ProofMaster dealer channel or via sales@fourpees.com.
