The apps we build for Enfocus Switch
Switch automates the flow of jobs through your shop. When it does not do a thing out of the box, someone has to build it. We build those things, use them on real customer flows, and publish the ones that are broadly useful on the Enfocus Appstore. Most are free. The paid ones earn their price by replacing work you would otherwise pay for by the hour.
Free apps
Dataset Maestro
Handles Switch datasets, the larger blobs of metadata (XML, JSON, preflight reports, or any file treated as job metadata). Works with up to five datasets at once, routes the original job and its datasets to different outputs, injects private metadata for downstream filtering, or drops the original job to carry on with a specific dataset.

Private Data Magician
Rewrites the private metadata on a job without a custom script. Remap a field (for example fpCountry from BE to Belgium), or create new fields from existing ones, fill several new fields from one input, or remap combinations of fields into several new ones.

File Fusion
Merges two files into one, with an optional separator. Combine two text files, join a JDF and a PDF to send to a printer as one, or build a file with a PCL header and a PDF payload. Inputs can be the job file, a file from the machine, or a dataset; the result goes back to the flow, to a location, or onto the job as a new dataset.

FlowSpy
Taps any point in a flow and writes a CSV in a folder you choose. Every job that passes adds a line with exactly the fields you pick, private data included, so you can log essentially anything about your jobs. Name the files how you like, for example one log per day or per product type.

IdleAlert
Watches a point in the flow and checks whether any job has passed in a window you set. If none has, it drops a text file into the flow with details on the flow, the element and the last job seen. Understands business hours, days of the week and holiday exceptions. Needs Switch 2022 Fall or higher, Windows or Mac.

Create file from template
Builds complex text files (XML, JDF, JSON) in Switch using a templating engine (EJS), so you avoid messy scripting. Give it a template and input variables, with loops and conditionals, and it injects the variables and outputs the file for the rest of the flow. Several ways to point at the template and the inputs.

Create text file
The lighter sibling of the template app. Builds a text file from boilerplate plus variables or Switch script expressions, for the common case where a full script is overkill.

Stalk
Gives Switch a voice: spoken feedback on what is happening in your flows. Compatible with Switch 2018 or higher, Windows or Mac.

Paid apps
Microsoft Azure Integration
Three apps for Azure Blob Storage: send files, get them back, and delete them. Single files go as-is, folders go with their structure intact. For archiving jobs, offloading large files from the Switch server, or moving data between Switch and Azure.
Price. 300 US$ per year.
Microsoft Azure Upload
Uploads any job, file or folder, to an Azure Blob container you choose. The lighter, upload-only option for Switch flows that need to archive data for the longer term.

Buggy
Three apps (Buggy Input, Buggy Reporting, Buggy Reception) that shorten the build, test, correct cycle when you are developing a flow. Inject test jobs with metadata already set, clean up result files so you are not reading stale data, and get a clear view of jobs at the end of the flow or anywhere in the middle.

Monday.com integration
Connects Switch to Monday.com, the visual work platform of boards, groups and items. Push job information from Switch up to Monday.com, or pull information for a specific job back down when you need it, so a job and its stages can be tracked on a board.
