MadeToTag update for enhanced tagging and even more stability

Berlin – July 26, 2016 – axaio software, developer of automation solutions for PDF creation, printing and content correction workflows for the publishing and printing markets, today launches an update of MadeToTag (1.6.079) that includes improved functionality, optimized features and fixes.

Functionality and stability improvements

axaio MadeToTag is an Adobe InDesign plugin that helps tagging InDesign files in a very user-friendly and reliable way, without any time loss in order to export a PDF based on the PDF/UA standard. Today's update version 1.6.079 of MadeToTag includes a list of functionality improvments that makes creating tagged PDFs even better, more efficient and less time-consuming. Especially the functionality "optimize table of contents" has been rewritten and enhanced significantly. The representation of all kinds of table of contents in the tagging structure works perfectly now and is valid for all documents. The table tagging is more precise, meaning titles and descriptions appear for the correct column and row, which were shown as ATT error before. Furthermore the tagging of multi-page tables has been optimized, so that it is used correctly.

Other fixes include:

• Functionality of "optimize anchored frames" is rewritten eliminating the white dummy objects, which sometimes appeared in the PDF tagging structure
• New: PDF export trigger through short cuts for quicker handling
• Vector objects have not always been respected when tagging non-structure objects as artifact; fixed
• Illegal inline THead and TFoot tag duplicates are removed from the tagging structure
• Fixed style name cropping in PDFs if style names are too long
• Missing ID to note elements has been added
• Merges contiguous headers in tagging structure
• Choice of sync document in book is respected when editing meta data
• Always exports the front document, unless a book from the list is chosen
• Multiple fixes in problem locator scripts for reliable detection

This MadeToTag update is the last one for Adobe InDesign CS5.5. As of the next MadeToTag version, all new features and fixes will only be integrated for version CS6 and higher.
