12 Jan. 2018
Berlin, January 12, 2018 – The PDF Camp Las Vegas event, organized by callas software, Aleyant and Four Pees, is a hands-on, technical training event where the focus will be on PDF and how to get the most out of its capabilities. In previous events, attendees brought real-world problems they are facing in their workflow and went away with practical solutions.
PDF Camp Las Vegas will give attendees technical know-how on PDF file format and standards as well as preflight and file fixing/modification capabilities. They will learn how to accomplish very practical tasks in a workflow. The agenda will include the attendee’s own questions or topic suggestions. Furthermore, they will also have plenty of opportunities to network with the hosts and their fellow participants.

callas pdfToolbox, a true pre-press-in-a-box solution, specializes in checking PDF documents, fixing common problems and making PDF files production ready. To do this, it includes a wide range of functionality, from converting from and to PDF files to imposition, adding varnish and undercolor white, splitting and merging, adding grommets (eyelets) and much, much more. This functionality is available manually in pdfToolbox Desktop, or using hot folders in pdfToolbox Server. It’s also easy to integrate into web portals and most leading web-to-print service providers are using it to check and fix incoming documents.
pdfToolbox is also the PDF engine behind Aleyant tFLOW. It offers an extremely user-friendly skin on top of pdfToolbox. Check and fix incoming files and convert them to the right output conditions and color standard for the machine it will be printed on. tFLOW moves further upstream, providing an order and job management tool combined with job submission and an online collaboration platform. It replaces different systems we used to know: FTP for uploading and downloading, project management, back-and-forth of e-mails with annotated PDFs and final approval, all is handled with tFLOW in a fully automated way. As a cherry on the cake, tFLOW also includes pdfToolbox technology so that errors in files are detected early in the process and can either be corrected in the native files or automatically upon releasing them into the workflow.
